The Pastoral Visiting Team
The Pastoral Visiting Team are members of the clergy and congregations of St Mary Magdalene Church, Woodstock and St Martin’s Church, Bladon. We recognise that amidst the joys and struggles of life, having someone to talk to is essential. By actively listening, offering encouragement and being a trusted confidant, we aim to create a safe space where individuals can share their thoughts and feelings.
What does the Pastoral Visiting Team do?
The aims of the Pastoral Visiting Team are:
To provide a connection between the Benefice Churches and members of their congregations through visits, phone calls or specific events, for example, The Bereavement Café.
To offer Home Holy Communion where requested
To be a point of contact for people wishing to discuss pastoral matters either after a service or at another agreed time
To reach out to the wider Woodstock and Bladon communities from the perspective of pastoral needs
