Organ Restoration at Bladon

In February 2020 we received the estimate for renovating the Church Organ at Bladon, bearing in mind that it was installed in 1908 and no major work has been carried out since the 1950’s.

The estimate was split into a number of parts, the first being rather basic clean and overhaul for £35,000 plus VAT then adding various options to complete the job totalling £80,000 plus VAT. As a charity we will reclaim VAT on any expenditure quite quickly.

So, to fund raising - initially it was suggested we needed £80,000 but we have added £20,000 for contingency making it a simple £100,000. People have been very generous and to date (March 2021) we have raised over £66,000. We have donations ranging from £50 to £10,000.
