We are delighted to welcome Tom McCoy (pictured here with His Grace The Duke of Marlborough) as our new Organist and Director of Music.
Tom is a full-time piano teacher and lives in Freeland with his wife and three young children. Tom hails from Nottingham, where he had his first experience of church music as a chorister. He read music at Bristol, and then followed with an MMus in Composition at Royal Holloway, University of London. Tom directed the choir at The Marlborough Church of England School during his time on the staff there, and looks forward to developing the music at St Martin’s including involving instrumentalists (such as the excellent St Martin’s Quintet who play on the third Sunday of every month) and recruiting new – and younger – members to our choir.
